SOLSTICE Planning and Architecture is a design-based practice in Sarasota, Florida. We are currently expanding our office and seeking new members to join our design and detail-oriented team. Applicants should enjoy working in a fast-paced yet informal studio atmosphere. This opportunity is for individuals that welcome responsibility and are looking to develop their professional skills while working on great design projects.
Opportunities exist in the following roles:
1. Senior Technician with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of architecture who can assemble construction documents and assist in the design, documentation and management of projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
2. Technician with practical experience in the field of architecture who can assemble construction documents and will assist in the design, documentation and management of projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
Skill and knowledge required:
Knowledge of architectural drawings and terminology
Understanding of the construction of buildings
Software – demonstrable experience using CAD
Good communication skills
Ability to pay attention to details
Awareness of building codes
Awareness of process for submission to planning
Work well under pressure and deadlines
Teachable
Self-motivated
SOLSTICE Planning and Architecture is a small architectural firm located in downtown Sarasota. Our firm works mainly throughout Florida with projects as far as Pennsylvania, Maryland, and California. Our portfolio includes custom homes, commercial, hospitality, and urban design. We have a great office culture which includes weekly office-sponsored lunches together at yummy restaurants, a continuing education series, and involvement in AIA and architectural and building community events.
